マイクロマシンサミットは、日本がイニシアティブを取り 1995年に第1回を京都で開催して以来、開催希望国の持ち回りで毎年開催されています。マイクロマシン／MEMSに関する教育、技術動向、政策やトピックス等について現状や将来展望を自由に議論し、世界のマイクロマシン／MEMS分野の進展に寄与することを目的としています。当センターはマイクロマシンサミットの常設の事務局として記録の保存、開催の準備等について支援しています。
第29回マイクロマシンサミットが、イギリスのサウサンプトンで、2026年6月14日(日)から17日(水)まで開催されました。日本からは団長の東京大学の伊藤寿浩教授とマイクロマシンセンターの国際交流担当の武田の２名が出席しました。

「MEMS事業者連携委員会」は2月19日に 2025年度 第3回委員会を開催し、「MEMS事業者連携委員会のこれまでの活動（MEMSと経済安全保障について）」、「今後目指すべき研究開発等について」、「我が国MEMS産業の再興に向けて」の３つの検討項目を事務局から提示し、議論を行いました。
さらに、来る7月24日に2026年度 第1回委員会を開催し、半導体・デジタル戦略やMEMS産業の最新動向を皆様にご紹介するとともに、今年度はMEMSファウンドリ及びスタートアップに焦点を当て我が国MEMS産業の競争力回復のための勝ち筋について具体的に議論を深め、経済産業省等への政策要望につなげていければと考えています。また、NEDOが、注目する最先端・未開拓な研究開発領域（フロンティア領域）【フロンティア育成事業】※1を一般に提案し、産学の研究者、政府関係者、投資家などのステークホルダーとともに、革新的な技術アイディアについて議論を深める場として先日NEDOサミットを開催しました。これを受けNEDOは7月1日に情報提供依頼（RFI）※2を行いフロンティア領域の具体化に向けた研究開発テーマの募集を開始しており、その内容等についてもご議論いただく予定にしております。

東北大学のインターネットスクール(ISTU)を活用し、e-learningによりMEMS開発に必要な企画、設計、試作、評価にかかる基礎知識を習得することができる講座です。
受講料：無料 申込：随時
MEMS集中講義：
MEMS技術の基礎的知識から各種分野のアプリケーションの応用展開まで、様々な角度からMEMS技術を収集できます。
試作実習：
受講生に課題（試作を希望するMEMSデバイス）を持ち込んでいただき、4インチのプロセスラインを利用してマンツーマンに近い指導で装置の原理・使い方・プロセスのノウハウを学習し、「設計→試作→評価→発表」に取り組むことにより、MEMS開発者として必要な技術を体系的に習得していただきます。
