Micro-flow-cell for blood gas analysis
0303202-108
[DEFINITION]
A micro-flow-cell used to measure partial gas pressure of oxygen and
carbon dioxide or oxygen saturation in blood, and so on.
[DESCRIPTION]
This micro-flow-cell is placed in the middle of a circuit in which
blood or standard fluid for calibration is circulated. In measurement of living body components,
the smaller the sample volume, the better. Especially in measurement of blood gas, which has to be
repeated frequently, the amount of necessary sample is an important criterion for evaluation of the
measurement system from the standpoint of reducing physical invasion to a patient. Therefore, size
reduction by micromachine technology is expected.
