Micro-mobile mechanism
1100201-117
[DEFINITION]
Microscopic mobile mechanisms composed of elements such as actuators,
controllers, and energy sources.
[DESCRIPTION]
Micro-mobile mechanisms consist of actuators, energy sources, and transmission
components for movement. Each element must also be microscopic in scale
because the overall size of these mechanisms is microscopic. While piezoelectric
elements, shape memory alloys, electro-static force, or electromagnetic
force are used in actuators, the major issue is whether the energy is supplied
from a built-in battery or an external source. Applications are expected
to include maintenance machines for the pipes of power plants.
