Ultrasonic wave
0903102-211
[DEFINITION]
An elastic wave of a frequency above the audible range of human
beings.
[DESCRIPTION]
Application of ultrasonic waves as a means of supplying energy to micromachines
from outside is under study for their little attenuation in water and in
the living body. Sonic waves emitted from the source of sound propagate
through the medium and vibrates the acoustic electromotive force device,
which generates electric power. The output power is converted into direct
current by rectifiers, and stored in a micro-battery, or directly fed to
drive actuators.
