Ding Henggao

The famous expert in inertial technology and precision mechanics in China, The honorary President of both Chines society, one of the Chinese Society of Micro/nano Technology, another of the Chinese Society of Inertial Technology, and concurrently the professor of Tsinghua University. Prof. Ding was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu province in the east of China, on 3 Feb. ,1931, he graduated from Nanjing University in 1952, and acquired a doctor’s degree in St. Petersburg Institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics Instrument in 1961. Since then, he has been engaged in the research of inertial instrument and system technology applied in guiding various vehicles for a long period. From 1985 to 1996, He acted as the Minister of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry For National Defense, PRC. In 1994 He was selected as the Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, which is China’s topmost academic and advisory institution on Engineering and technology. Recently he is active in research work at MEMS technology in China.
