Dr. JIAO Jiwei

He received his BS degree from Zhejiang University and PhD degree from Shanghai Institute of Metallurgy, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 1989 and 1994, respectively. After 18 months stay as a research fellow at the Laboratory for Electronic Instrumentation, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands， he joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Japan in 1997, and worked there till mid 2002. He was involved in the R&D of a series of MEMS devices，such as inertial sensors for automobile applications，and RF MEMS components. He is presently with Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology. His current interests include mechanical sensors and actuators, RF MEMS devices, NEMS，micromachined device packaging technology, etc.
