Prof. Wen Zhiyu

Prof. Wen Zhiyu graduated from Sichuan University, China and joined the Chonqqing University, China, as a faculty member in 1982. He served as Adjunct Professor in College of Engineering, University of California, Santa Barbara (USA) from 1998-1999, and Visiting Professor in Chemnitz University (German) in 2003. He was appointed as Honor Professor of Chemnitz University and of Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration (IZM), by Federal Ministry of Education and Research, German. He is currently the Director of Chongqing Engineering Research Center for MEMS Technology, the Vice-Dean in institute of Mechanical and Opto-electronic System and Manufacturing, Chonqging University, the Director of Micro-system Research Center, Chongqing University, a member of Specialist Appraisal Team of Department of Information Science, National Natural Science Foundation of China, a member of Academic Committee of Chinese State Key Laboratory on Analog Integrated Circuit, a member of Academic Committee of Chinese State Key Laboratory on Micro/Nanotechnology, Beijing University, the Standing Director of Chinese Micro/Nanotechnology Society, the Vice Executive Chairman of Micro/Nano Devices and Micro-system Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, the Director of Sensors Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, the Vice Director of Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Sensors and Actuators, etc.
    
He has been engaged in the research of microelectronics and MEMS for many years. As a principal, He has undertaken and completed more than 40 national projects. The group, guided by him, has developed the innovative micro spectrometer, micro biochemical analyzer, vacuum microelectronic tactile sensor using field emission arrays, vacuum microelectronic acceleration sensor, and vibration micro generator, etc. he has wined 1st Advancement Prize of Science and Technology of Chongqing City, 1st Invention Prize of Chongqing City, 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize of Science and Technology of Ministry of Education, China. He has applied 19 invention patents, held 6 invention patents and 2 utility patents, granted in China, published about 140 technical papers in international and Chinese journals.

He has successfully carried out research and development on MEMS, cooperated with University o California Santa Barbara, USA, Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration (IZM), German, Micro-technology Center of Chemnitz University, German, CRIM Center of University Sainte Anne, Italy, etc.
