WELCOME to the 13th edition of the Micromachine Summit, the annual meeting where leading representatives of academy, industry, agencies and governmental organizations gather and discuss the current status and future prospects of microsystems and nanotechnology.

This year the Summit will be held in Venice, one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in the world, and will be co-organized by the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa (www.sssup.it) and the Center for Scientific and the Technological Research of Trento (www.itc.it) .

Seventeen delegations from all over the world will participate in the Forum and will discuss, in a roundtable setting, policies and progress in each country and region.
